The proof is in the pudding

John and Amanda had for thought for some time about running their own pub. Being new to the industry they approached JW Lees and enquired what was involved. They decided to join the company and set their heart on the Railway & Linnet, Middleton Junction. This was a
bold step and a leap of faith on their part.

The pub was due to be refurbished in April 2008. John
and Amanda looked at the plans and were sure that
they could re-launch the outlet and put it right back on
the map. John had spent a lot of his working life in manufacturing before trying his hand at becoming a DJ and Amanda was more used to styling hair than pulling pints.

Both agree that it has been hard work and a steep learning curve but the success at the Railway & Linnet speaks for itself. Working in partnership with the
Brewery, their hard work and enterprise has certainly
paid off. Plans are now underway to make the most of
the best beer garden in the area, watch this space.
